Sometimes things are not as they seem (even celery juice)!

An entire lifetime has passed since I took a moment to write on these pages...
Today, I had a flashback of this blog, and I remembered the joy it gave me.

Funny things happen to me all the time and it's time I get back to sharing how all of us can make lemonade from lemons... and the art of learning to laugh at yourself.

I own a yoga studio now.  Laguna Beach Yoga (maybe you've heard of it).  Yesterday was our summer open house and community pop-up market.  It was fun, but hot and a lot of work.  And guess what happened?  Our AC broke!  Yep - on a super hot day.  We laughed, sweated and managed.

Today the AC is still broken.  I taught two classes back to back and tried to just keep the room open and cool as best as I could.  I was at the end of my second class and dreaming of that yummy celery juice my husband made (yeah, I'm also married - it has been a long time since I've written in this blog!) ;)
Back to celery juice.  I had the class in savasana and usually treat this as a sacred time.  My usual self would palo santo/sage the room, pray blessing over the space and those in it.  Not today.  I was hot!
I went to the desk to grab my cold celery juice.  Back in studio I opened this homemade nectar of the gods and took the biggest drink.  I thought I was going to breathe Fire!
For the 1st time ever, my husband loaded the celery juice with cayenne pepper and forgot to mention that to me as I ran out the door with it this morning.
It was hot.

Sometimes, things are not as they seem.
Drinking that darn celery juice made me even hotter.  I was sweating in savasana.
I shared my experience with the class, we laughed and agreed that sometimes what we think we want is not what we actually want at all...
